Enjoy Eid with flydubai

Airline offers useful travel tips this Eid break, along with a gift of complimentary WiFi and Live TV

With the approaching Eid holidays, Dubai-based flydubai is sharing a list of travel tips that can help passengers enjoy their holidays and travel with ease. With an expected increase in the number of passengers travelling with flydubai, here are some tips to help get the holiday started.

Connect and relax with your Eid gift

As an Eid gift to its passengers, flydubai is offering complimentary WiFi connectivity and Live TV from 08 to 17 September, on flights where connectivity is available. Passengers can stay connected while in the air and tune in to the latest news and sports on BBC World News, Al Jazeera or Al Arabiya, enjoy Arabic shows on MBC1 or fascinating documentaries on Discovery.

Arrive on time

With a significant number of passengers travelling with flydubai from Terminal 2 (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC), give yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

“The Eid holidays will see both airports become extremely busy” said Alex Mackenzie, Senior Vice President Airport Services at flydubai. “We recommend getting to the airport at least four hours before your flight departs, especially if you have baggage to check-in. Please remember that check-in for any flydubai flight will close 60 minutes before departure.”

Don’t forget to double check which airport you are departing from before leaving home. Once inside the airport, make sure you take advantage of the wide variety of shopping and dining options available.

Beat the queues when you check in online

You can check in online for your flydubai flight up to 90 minutes before your flight, available on all flights departing from Dubai (except Jeddah and Madinah).

If you can’t check-in online, head to one of our self-service kiosks between 24 hours and one hour before departure. To start your journey, all you need is your booking reference and a machine readable passport. If you have baggage, please go to the bag drop desk with your baggage, so they can be tagged and accepted for the flight before heading to security.

Pack smart

Make sure that you are aware of the baggage limits when you pack. Economy Class passengers can carry up to one item of hand baggage that weighs no more than 7kg on board, along with a laptop bag or handbag. Business Class passengers can carry up to two items of hand baggage on board with a combined weight of 15kg along with 40kg of checked baggage. Remember, Economy Class passengers

can purchase up to 40kg of luggage prior to their trip through flydubai.com, along with extra legroom seats, a hot meal and In-Flight Entertainment, so you are well prepared before your journey begins.

Pack any liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) in a clear re-sealable plastic bag. Remember that for safety reasons passengers are not permitted to fly with items powered by lithium batteries such as hoverboards, mini segways, balance wheels and solowheels. This applies to hand baggage and checked baggage. For more information about restrictions on the carriage of lithium batteries and other dangerous goods, passengers are advised to read the baggage policy available on flydubai.com.

Be entertained

Make sure that you take the chance to enjoy flydubai’s award-winning interactive In-Flight Entertainment System which is available on every seat. Here you can enjoy more than 2,000 hours of entertainment in Arabic, English, Hindi and Russian.

With the variety of entertainment options available, it has never been easier to sit back, relax and enjoy your holiday.
