Monday, January 21, 2013 — flydubai, Dubai’s innovative low-cost airline, was joined by Inner Maldives Holidays today to celebrate the opening of the flydubai Travel Shop in the capital of the Maldives, Malé.

flydubai’s CEO, Ghaith Al Ghaith, was joined by Mohamed Firaq, Managing Director of Inner Maldives Holidays, to cut the ribbon at the new outlet. Residents of the island will now be able to book and pay for their flights at the flydubai Travel Shop and also amend existing bookings or add optional extras, such as checked baggage and extra legroom seats.

Ghaith Al Ghaith said: “Our international Travel Shops have proven to be very effective in assisting travellers with more options to pay for their flights and additional services such as checked baggage. We strive to provide the best services to our customers and thanks to our partnership with Inner Maldives Holidays, we are able to offer enhanced customer service in this country.”

Commenting on the new venture, Mohamed Firaq said: “We are honoured to be the franchise partner of flydubai in Malé and to bring their affordable fares to residents of the Maldives looking to visit Dubai and beyond. We look forward to growing this partnership with flydubai and serving local travellers.”

The flydubai Travel Shop is located at H. Florida, Ameer Ahmed Magu, Malé, and is open from 0900hrs to 1800hrs Saturday to Thursday.
