flydubai awarded for in-flight service excellence

Carrier takes home Mercury Award for innovative and quality systems and process development at Mercury Awards ceremony

flydubai, Dubai’s innovative low-cost airline, received a Mercury Award for its Systems and Process Development at the Mercury Awards, held last night (27 November 2012) in Abu Dhabi.

flydubai was recognized for its innovative Information systems and processes that improve efficiency, quality and overall customer satisfaction. flydubai’s Lumexis ‘Fiber-To-The-Screen®’ (‘FTTS®’) In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system allows all 189 passenger seats to be equipped with touch screens enabling passengers to order meals, refreshments, or Duty Free, on-demand and at their convenience throughout the flight and not only during the cabin service.

The Mercury Award is an international award conferred by the International Travel Catering Association (formerly known as the International Flight Catering Association) for setting high standards in in-flight catering.
