flydubai celebrates opening of new flydubai Travel Shops in the Northern Emirates
with partner Sharjah National Travel & Tourist Agency
Sunday, December 16, 2012 — flydubai, Dubai’s innovative low-cost airline, was joined by Sharjah National Travel & Tourist Agency (SNTTA) today to celebrate the opening of the new flydubai Travel Shops in both Sharjah and Ajman.
flydubai’s CCO, Hamad Obaidalla, was joined by Sheikh Khalid Abdulaziz Al Qasimi, Chairman of Liberty Investment Company (Liberty Group), the holding company of SNTTA, to cut the ribbon at the new outlet in Rolla, Sharjah. Through the new Travel Shop, it is even more convenient for flydubai passengers to book and pay for their flights, amend existing bookings or add optional extras, such as checked baggage and extra legroom seats. To underpin flydubai’s commitment to the Northern Emirates, the airline will open another Travel Shop in Ajman next month.
Sheikh Khalid said: “SNTTA is proud to be the franchise partner of flydubai in Sharjah and Ajman, and this marks a new chapter in our growth story. It is remarkable that in a short time flydubai has achieved tremendous growth in the low-cost airspace, offering travellers new options with competitive pricing, without compromising on quality. We look forward to supporting the airline’s growth in these markets and we are confident flydubai will continue to soar to new heights in the years to come.”
Hamad Obaidalla said: “We continuously strive to provide the best and most convenient services to our customers and opening Travel Shops with partners such as SNTTA enables us to do this. In addition to the flydubai Travel Shops, the airline has launched a flydubai Bus service between the Ajman and Sharjah Travel Shops and Dubai Terminal 2. Operating five times a day to and from Sharjah and Ajman, tickets are available for purchase from the Travel Shops or at flydubai.com and cost just AED 20 each way.
The flydubai Travel Shop in Sharjah is located on Al Mareija Street, behind the SNTTA head office, and in Ajman in the Rashid Abdulla Rashid Al Shamsi Building (opposite Mashreq Bank) on Rashid Bin Humaid Road. Both Travel Shops are open from 08:00 to 13:00 then 16:00 to 20:00 Saturday to Thursday.
