flydubai launches convenient bus service for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain passengers

flydubai, Dubai's pioneering low cost airline, has announced the launch of a dedicated bus service for those wishing to travel from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to Dubai International Airport's Terminal 2.

Starting on Wednesday, June 15, 2011, flydubai's new bus service will operate four times a day to Abu Dhabi and three times a day to Al Ain.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said:  "This is a first step in making our hub in Terminal 2 more accessible to passengers across the UAE. We want to ensure that all our passengers have the most comfortable and convenient travel experience from the moment they leave their homes to the moment they board their flydubai flight. The new bus service offers a low-cost, reliable and hassle-free option for passengers travelling with flydubai from Abu Dhabi and Al Ain."

In keeping with the airline's low cost model, the bus service is an optional extra and is booked and paid for separately to the flights. Bus arrival and departure times are not directly linked to flight arrivals and departures, but will run according to a set timetable geared towards providing easy transport to and from as many of flydubai's flights as possible. Tickets will be available for purchase on www.flydubai.com/ from Thursday, June 9 and cost just AED 40 each way.

Starting on Wednesday, June 15, buses will operate from:

  • Abu Dhabi ( Al Nasr Street, in front of Al Masaood Travel & Services) to Terminal 2, Dubai at 0400hrs, 0730hrs, 1400hrs and 2100hrs
