flydubai flies flag across its network

Airline marks the UAE’s 42nd National Day and successful Expo 2020 bid with flag-waving display

flydubai has marked the UAE’s 42nd National Day with a flag-waving display across its network. The display also marks Dubai’s successful bid to host the World Expo 2020.

Every time a flydubai aircraft touched down at each destination across its network, pilots and cabin crew members from over 90 nationalities, flew the UAE flag high to celebrate UAE National Day, which is held annually on 02 December.

Commenting on both celebrations, flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer, Ghaith Al Ghaith stated: “We have witnessed a historic moment with Dubai confirmed as the host city for the World Expo 2020. Combined with the 42nd National Day celebrations, it is a special time for the nation. The vision and leadership of our country has been key to flydubai’s growth.  With over 90 nationalities at flydubai it is a reflection of the cultural diversity of the UAE and the strength of Expo 2020.”

In 2013, flydubai announced 16 new routes and increased the frequency of several destinations across its network of 66 destinations.
