flydubai launches flights to Dubai and Djibouti from Yemen

Airline will operate a three times a week service

flydubai today announced that it will launch a three times weekly service to Dubai from Aden with flights starting on 01 August 2014.

flydubai will become the first UAE-based carrier to operate flights on this route, the airline’s second destination in Yemen after Sana’a. Flights will include flydubai’s Business Class which was launched at the end of last year.

Commenting on the announcement Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Aden represents another example of flydubai’s approach to linking previously underserved markets to Dubai. This new, direct route to this historic city, with the addition of Business Class, will create more opportunities for travel and trade between Yemen and the UAE.”

flydubai’s Business Class provides passengers with a priority service on the ground and a more personal flying experience in the air. Customers benefit from a priority check-in service and a dedicated 24-hour customer service team to assist with bookings and attend to enquiries throughout their journey. On board, comfortable spacious seats made of Italian leather have a generous recline. flydubai’s award-winning inflight entertainment system is shown on a high-definition 12.1-inch touchscreen and a choice of internationally inspired menus and refreshments are served during the flight.
