flydubai, Dubai’s pioneering low-cost airline, celebrated the inauguration of its news offices in Kuwait

flydubai, Dubai’s pioneering low-cost airline, celebrated the inauguration of its news offices in Kuwait on 20 February 2012, with a ceremony attended by flydubai officials, VIPs and representatives from Barakat Aviation, flydubai’s exclusive  partners in Kuwait.

Present at the opening of the new office was a VIP delegation from Kuwait, headed by the UAE Ambassador - H.E. Hassan Salem Al Khayaal and Mr. Essam Mohammed Al Zamel, Director of Operations, DGCA, joined by Mr. Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer of flydubai and Mr. Sudhir Sreedharan, Head of Commercial Operations (Indian Sub-continent/GCC/Africa) at the airline plus Mr. Tayseer Barakat, the owner of Barakat Aviation.

Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Hamad Obaidalla, said: “I would like to congratulate Barakat Aviation on the opening of its new offices. Kuwait is a crucial market for flydubai and traffic in both directions has been increasing at an extremely healthy pace. We have worked with Barakat Aviation for two years and wish them continued success.”

Since flydubai’s first flight to Kuwait on 30 March 2010, the low cost airline has increased its frequency from two daily flights to six with current fares from Kuwait to Dubai starting at 15 Kuwaiti Dinars and Dubai to Kuwait from 25 Kuwaiti Dinars.

Since commencing operations in June 2009, flydubai’s dynamic growth and rapid network expansion has led to several award successes, including being named Low Cost Airline of the Year at both the Business Traveller Middle East Awards and Aviation Business Awards 2011. flydubai is now the second-largest carrier operating out of Dubai International Airport and having recently started operations to its 50th destination in less than three years, has positioned itself as the world’s fastest growing start-up airline ever.

flydubai’s  new office is located in Kuwait City on Abu Baker Al Sadeq Street in Al Nakib Building on the 3rd floor.
