flydubai receives award at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference

flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith has received the Leadership Award at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC)

flydubai’s Chief Executive Officer Ghaith Al Ghaith has received the Leadership Award at the Arabian Hotel Investment Conference (AHIC) that took place today at Madinat Jumeirah. The award is nominated and voted for by the AHIC advisory board which has more than 40 hotel industry leaders from around the region.

The award recognises the Dubai-based airlines role in providing opportunities for the hotel industry in the region through its evolving business model and its agility and flexibility as a young airline. This strategy has enhanced Dubai’s economic development in line with the Government of Dubai’s vision of creating trade and tourism flows in previously underserved markets. From a network of 93 destinations in 44 countries, flydubai has opened up 62 routes that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE national carrier from Dubai.

These efforts were acknowledged by flydubai’s Chairman HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who presented the award.

Commenting on the achievement Ghaith Al Ghaith said, “I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of the whole flydubai team in recognition for their work and for the contribution they have made to the growth of the airline. flydubai’s achievements would not be possible without the vision and leadership of the UAE and we remain committed to contributing to its success.”
