flydubai recognised at the 2021 Business Traveller Middle East Awards

flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, was recognised as the Best Low-Cost airline serving the Middle East at this year’s Business Traveller Middle East Awards.

Voted by the public and readers of the magazine, the award is testimony for flydubai’s continuous resilience during these unprecedented times. It is the 7th time that flydubai has won the award.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, commented on the award: “While it has been a challenging year for flydubai and the entire industry, we continued to demonstrate resilience and agility as an airline, and thanks to the efforts and hard work of everyone at flydubai, we were able to steadily grow our network to more than 80 destinations.”

As flight restrictions have continued to be lifted around the network, flydubai has continuously grown its operations and created more opportunities to travel this summer. The airline operates to a number of new destinations, including Bodrum, Mykonos, Santorini, Tirana and Trabzon and has resumed flights to several popular destinations like Batumi, Bucharest, Maldives, Tivat and Zanzibar.

flydubai has also redesigned its passenger experience to enable travel in a safe, clean, and screened environment that minimises crew and passenger contact and offers passengers confidence to travel at every step of their journey. The new measures include updates to cleaning protocols and regimes and a reengineered onboard service to minimise contact between crew and passengers, with plans to further enhance the onboard experience.
