flydubai relaunches flights to Batumi for the summer

Flights will operate three times weekly between 12 May and 01 September

 flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has added Batumi to its seasonal summer schedule. The carrier, which currently operates to Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) in Georgia, will also operate a three times weekly service to Batumi International Airport (BUS) from 12 May until 01 September.

 

Commenting on the announcement, Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations and E-commerce at flydubai, added: “we are pleased to relaunch our operations to Batumi which has been a popular summer destination for our passengers in previous years. We remain focused on adding more options for travel this summer with the expectation that international travel restrictions will have eased. Flights are available to book on flydubai.com. In addition, passengers will have the option to choose full packages from holidays by flydubai.”

Batumi offers passengers wishing to travel this summer a perfect escape with popular seaside resorts, beautiful mountain vistas and a mild climate. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Black Sea’, Batumi is the second largest city in Georgia, located in the country's southwest region. Batumi is a popular tourist destination known for its beaches, restaurants, cafés, dancing fountains and its popular Ferris Wheel.

This summer will see the number of destinations on flydubai’s network reach 79 points in 46 countries. In addition to its seasonal offerings, flydubai offers passengers a variety of popular leisure destinations that reflects the diversity of its network. For those seeking a city break, flydubai offers passengers the chance to explore a range of cities rich in culture, heritage and activities such as Baku, Bucharest, Istanbul, Minsk, Tbilisi, Tirana and Yerevan. 

Along with city breaks, the summer season is the ideal time to escape to the beach. flydubai’s flights to Colombo, Maldives and Zanzibar give passengers the opportunity to experience some of the best beaches and tropical hotspots in the world.

Emirates will codeshare on flights to Batumi, offering travellers more seamless connections through Dubai’s international aviation hub to 155 destinations between both the Emirates and flydubai networks including Australia, China, Indian Ocean, Japan, South Asia and the United States. 

flydubai’s passenger experience has been redesigned to enable travel in a safe environment that minimises crew and passenger contact and offers passengers confidence to travel at every step of their journey. The airline has introduced an extended multi-risk travel insurance that includes COVID-19 cover to offer passengers greater peace of mind when travelling.  

Passengers are required to make sure that they are up to date with the regulations from the IATA Travel Centre for their whole journey and follow the guidance issued by the authorities.

Flights from Terminal 2, Dubai International (DXB) to Batumi International Airport (BUS) will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from 12 May to 01 September.   

Return Business Class fares from DXB to BUS start from AED 6,485 and Economy Class fares start from AED 1,605.  

Return Business Class fares from BUS to DXB start from USD 1,125 and Economy Class fares start from USD 385.
