flydubai sale returns with up to 50% off on all fares

Rounding off a remarkable first six months of operations, flydubai has announced its third seat sale, with up to 50% off on all routes for a limited period

Rounding off a remarkable first six months of operations, flydubai has announced its third seat sale, with up to 50% off on all routes for a limited period.

From 1159hrs today, passengers will get the third opportunity of the year to book the lowest one way fares to and from Dubai at half price including all taxes and one piece of hand baggage. The price of flights transferring through Dubai is also being reduced by 20% for the duration of the sale.

The sale means that one-way flights from Dubai can be purchased for as low as AED 100 to Doha and AED 125 only to Beirut, Amman and Bahrain. 50% discounts are also available on flights to Djibouti, Khartoum, Baku, Aleppo, Damascus and Kathmandu.

Bookings must be made before 2359hrs on 15 December 2009 for travel between 07 January 2010 and 27 March 2010, and although travellers have one week to make their reservations, the advice is to book early.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai said: "Our fares are already excellent value and with the flydubai sale, we make the decision to travel easier for our customers. We have new and exciting destinations for tourists, potential opportunities for businessmen and more trips home for expatriates.

"The flydubai sale is an important part of our business strategy and will continue to be a regular feature. Our previous two sales have generated a huge amount of excitement and interest and we expect the same from this one.”

Bookings for the flydubai sale can be made on www.flydubai.com from 1159hrs Tuesday, December 8, until 2359hrs on Tuesday, December 15. Customers can also book flights through the 24 hour flydubai call centre (+971 4 3010800) and at selected travel agents. Bookings at the specially discounted rates can be made for flights operating between 07 January 2010 and 27 March 2010.

The flydubai model is simple, with customers paying only for the services they want to receive. Fares include all taxes and one piece of hand baggage, weighing up to 10 kg, per passenger.

Passengers have the option to purchase checked-in baggage in advance at just AED 40 for the first piece and AED 100 for the second, weighing up to 32 kg, subject to availability. Checked baggage at the airport is also strictly subject to availability and passengers are advised to book online early to secure the space, as only pre-purchased baggage can be guaranteed.

A nominal payment of AED 5 allows customers to select their seat and just AED 50 secures the extra legroom positions. Bookings can be changed for a small fee, plus any difference in the fare, and food and drink can be purchased on board.

flydubai operates from a modernised and enhanced Terminal 2 on the north side of Dubai International Airport.
