flydubai signs new Boeing services agreements

Parts programmes and in-flight solutions support efficient operations

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 12 February 2025: At the MRO Middle East conference, flydubai and Boeing announced new agreements for parts sourcing services and digital solutions that help support efficient fleet operations:

  • Tailored Parts Package – Boeing’s Tailored Parts Package helps flydubai ensure ready access to the parts needed to maintain its fleet, improving costs savings and inventory forecasting.
  • 737MAX QEC Kits – Quick Engine Change (QEC) kits for flydubai’s 737MAX fleet help minimize costs and schedule impacts during required engine removals.  With the hardware and components needed to build up a provisioned spare engine to a service-ready condition, QEC kits shorten the time required for engine build and help get aircraft back in service more quickly.
  • Bin Management Solutions – Through a pilot program, flydubai maintenance operations teams will benefit from Boeing’s global distribution network and Just-In-Time, Vendor-Managed Inventory, Point-of-Use and Direct Line Feed services that leverage Boeing’s global distribution network. These services improve cost-efficiency and parts availability, and minimize parts shortages and stock-outs.
  • Jeppesen FliteDeck Advisor - Jeppesen FliteDeck Advisor is a mobile flight optimization application providing pilots with real-time, tail-specific, in-flight advisories to improve flight profile, reduce fuel use, and optimize flight schedules.
Captain Ahmad Bin Huzaim, Senior Vice President, Flight Operations at flydubai, said: “We are pleased to sign the FliteDeck Advisor solution agreement from Boeing Global Services. This is part of our commitment to adopting digital best practices to enhance our operational efficiency and optimise performance.
Andrew Glover, Senior Vice President, Engineering and Maintenance at flydubai, commented: “We are looking forward to continuing to work closely with the Boeing Global Services teams and invest in technologies that improve our operational efficiencies as we grow our fleet. These services will also improve cost-efficiency and provide real-time solutions.”
“Boeing’s unmatched scale, expertise and broad service offerings are what set us apart and enable us to support what our customers need to keep flying safely and efficiently,” said William Ampofo, senior vice president, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain, Boeing Global Services.
