flydubai to operate double daily flights from Boryspil in Kiev

Ukraine remains an important market for the airline

Dubai-based flydubai today has announced that it will move its existing operations to Boryspil International Airport (KBP) Kiev with effect from 28 October 2018.  From 02 October, double daily flights will be available between Kiev and Dubai.

flydubai launched its operations to Ukraine in 2011 and offers 17 weekly flights from Kiev and Odessa to Dubai. Ukrainian citizens travelling to Dubai can benefit from a Visa-on-Arrival. The visit visa is valid for 30-days and is free of charge. Through flydubai’s expanded codeshare partnership with Emirates, Ukrainian passengers also are offered unmatched travel options via Dubai’s aviation hub.

Jeyhun Efendi, Senior Vice President, Commercial at flydubai, said, “We welcome the start of our double daily service from Boryspil International Airport, which provides a more convenient travel experience and better connectivity via Dubai’s aviation hub to some of the most popular leisure destinations. Our passengers from Kiev were also one of the first on our network to enjoy our new Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft with a flat-bed in Business Class and optimized space and comfort in Economy Class.”

The new Boeing 737 MAX 8 cabin offers a flat-bed in Business Class and in addition to the extra space and privacy, passengers can sleep comfortably during their flight. Economy Class offers new RECARO seats, which are designed to optimise space and comfort so passengers can sit back, relax and enjoy their flight. flydubai also offers exceptional inflight entertainment with a full HD, 11.6-inch screen, featuring a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music and games in English, Arabic and Russian. In addition, the Boeing Sky interior with its gently-sculpted sidewalls and its smooth-flowing lines provides passengers with a more relaxing travel environment.

Emirates will codeshare on this route as part of the Emirates flydubai partnership announced in July 2017. For bookings under the codeshare, Emirates passengers will receive complimentary meals and the Emirates checked baggage allowance on flights operated by flydubai in Business and Economy classes. With the partnership, passengers from Ukraine will have an opportunity to travel via Dubai to the hundreds of destinations all over the world.

flydubai operates over 1,700 flights per week to over 90 destinations in 48 countries, including popular routes among Ukrainian travellers, such as Dubai (UAE), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Kathmandu (Nepal) and Zanzibar (Tanzanzia).
