The flydubai sale is back

flydubai is continuing to make travel more accessible and affordable with the announcement of the second flydubai sale

flydubai, Dubai’s first low cost airline, is continuing to make travel more accessible and affordable with the announcement of the second flydubai sale.

Available for booking from 23.59 on Sunday, September 6, the flydubai sale will see flights to all flydubai’s current operating destinations discounted by 40 per cent. This means passengers will be able to travel to Amman and Beirut from as little as AED150, to Damascus and Aleppo from AED180, Alexandria from AED210 and Djibouti from AED 390 only.

Although the sale will run for 10 days, until 23.59 on Thursday, September 17, and bookings can be made for flights between October 1 and November 15 inclusive, customers are advised to book early to ensure they get the flights they want.

“The first flydubai sale in June was a test for us to see how well this model would work in this market – and we were pleasantly surprised by how successful it was,” said Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai. “In the first seven hours of the first sale, from midnight until 7am the next morning, we received more than 2,000 bookings, which is testament to the fact that flydubai’s attractive fares can help to stimulate demand for travel.

“Everyone loves a bargain and what better deal can there be than a comfortable, quality, safe, punctual flydubai flight at a 40 per cent discount?”

For the first time flydubai’s newer destinations, Aleppo and Djibouti, will also be featured in the flydubai sale.

“Travel is exciting, it brings people closer together and it is a fun and educational past time,” added Ghaith. “The flydubai sale ensures more people than ever before will be able to visit cities they may never have had the reason or opportunity to travel to previously.

“The flydubai sale is also a terrific opportunity for people from other parts of our network to come and experience all the wonderful things Dubai and the UAE have to offer travellers. Where Dubai might have been considered a luxury destination out of the reach of the average traveller, the flydubai sale makes a trip to Dubai possible for so many more visitors.

“flydubai has promised to make travel a little less complex, a little less stressful and a little less expensive and the flydubai sale is another example of us delivering on that promise.”

Bookings for the flydubai sale can be made on www.flydubai.com from 23.59 on Sunday, September 6, until 23.59 on Thursday, September 17. Customers can also book flights through the flydubai 24 hour call centre (+971 4 3010800) and at selected travel agents. Bookings at the specially discounted rates can be made for flights operating to all destinations currently on the flydubai network between October 1 and November 15 inclusive.

The flydubai model is simple, with customers paying only for the services they want to receive. The ticket price includes all taxes and one piece of hand baggage, weighing up to 10 kg, per passenger.

Passengers have the option to purchase checked-in baggage in advance at just AED 40 for the first piece and AED 100 for the second, weighing up to 32 kg, subject to availability. Checked baggage at the airport is also strictly subject to availability and passengers are advised to book online early to secure the space, as only pre-purchased baggage can be guaranteed.

A nominal payment of AED 5 allows customers to select their seat and just AED 50 secures the extra legroom positions. Bookings can be changed for a small fee, plus any difference in the fare, and food and drink can be purchased on board.

flydubai operates from a modernised and enhanced Terminal 2 on the north side of Dubai International Airport.
